The semi-annual offering of "Faculty Seminars in Research and Instructional Technology" will take place onTuesday, May 6 and Wednesday, May 7, 2014. Faculty Seminars are two days of short courses designed to support faculty, academic staff, and graduate assistants in their teaching and research roles by providing instruction on a variety of software tools. All sessions are held at MSU in various technology classrooms and computer labs across campus. Visit  for all the details.

More than 30 half-day and full-day courses are offered in face-to-face settings. You may choose from one to four classes over the two day period, with a free lunch each day in the Union Ballroom. All courses are offered at no charge to faculty and academic staff.

The Desire2Learn (D2L) courses will all be taught using the new 10.2 version of the software (if you haven't converted your courses from ANGEL, now would be a good time to learn about D2L as ANGEL will be shut down May 15, 2015). We again are offering the popular Fundamentals of Online Teaching for faculty who will be teaching blended or online courses. We also have a couple of new courses including Library Publishing Services and Making Course Documents Accessible—remember MSU has new web accessibility guidelines we should all follow. We are also offering sessions on High Performance Computing, Eli Review, Mendeley, EndNote, and others.
