Robert Sternberg - November 16, 7:30 PM, Cobb Great Hall, Wharton Center, MSU

posted Nov 15, 2011, 1:46 PM by Mark Urban-Lurain
Robert Sternberg is an American psychologist and psychometrician, a renowned academician, and former president of the American Psychological Association. His extensive research on human intelligence and creativity has led to a triarchic theory of intelligence and triangular theory of love. In his most recent book, Wisdom, Intelligence, and Creativity Synthesized, Sternberg argues that any serious understanding of intelligence must go beyond the standard paper and pencil tests. A theory of intelligence must take account of people’s creative abilities - their ability to go beyond given information, and imagine new and exciting ways of reformulating old problem.
