Lilly Fellowship 2010-2011 Awarded to Pat Walton

At a University level reception held in the Kellogg Center on April 29 for outgoing Lilly scholars and the new 2010-2011 Lilly Scholars, Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, Deb Dzure, MSU Assistant Provost, announced that S. Patrick Walton is a new Lilly Fellow for the 2010-2011 academic year.

Pat's research program supported by his Lilly award will focus on the leverage that may be gained by faculty members interacting with students via text messaging. The ultimate goal of the work will be to develop new modalities of student/faculty interaction that will help connect faculty and their students.
