The first "all hands" meeting for the new Beacon project was held in early August (2010). For the meeting, all researchers were asked to read an article about the nature of collaboration among scientists. 

The paper is well worth a read by engineering faculty to - it may shed light on the practice of engineering, and on the practice of engineering education.
