Dr. Bruce Alberts will present a keynote address 

“Science and the World’s Future”

Dr. Joan Ferrini-Mundy will present

 “New Directions and Funding Opportunities for STEM Education at NSF”

A Poster Session featuring the work of the local STEM community

Thursday, October 21, 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m., MSU Union, Gold Room A

 

Registration deadline is October 15, 2010

 

Dr. Alberts is Professor Emeritus of Biochemistry and Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco; Past President, National Academy of Sciences; Editor-in-Chief, Science; and U.S. Science Envoy. 


Dr. Ferrini-Mundy is an MSU University Distinguished Professor and Professor of Mathematics Education; she is currently on leave from MSU at the National Science Foundation.
